So its March, right?  The NFL season long gone, right?  Meanwhile all the news is NFL with the Saints and their “pay for pain”, a certain Mr. Manning is being released by the Colts and Brees is mad that he has been given the franchise tag.  What the heck – can’t we let baseball and NASCAR have the limelight all to themselves for a while?  Anyways…

I whipped up some homemade sweet and sour mix today… time to make a cocktail with the result.  Quick search on the internet came up with the Iguana.  This one sounds a little odd, but we’ll give it a whirl and see how is tastes.

  • 3 ounces sweet and sour (homemade!)
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1 ounce tequila
  • 0.5 ounce Kahlua

Shake everything over ice, strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a lime wheel.

Dave’s Thoughts:

  • The sweet and sour really is dominant in the drink, so I highly recommend the homemade stuff!
  • The drink tastes sweet… and sour.  Also has an odd aftertaste that I think is the Kahlua.
  • One thing is certain – you can’t taste the liquor!
