Uh, how do you say that… ORR-A-CAH-BE-SA?  I was looking for some interesting things to mention about today and I found a list of the most obscure “days”.  So today, March 2nd, is: “Dress in Blue Day”, “Dr. Seuss Day”, “Employee Appreciation Day”, “Read Across America Day” and “Shabbat Across America Day” – who knew.  So appreciate your workers by reading them “The Cat in the Hat” while wearing your best blue jeans and a Yarmulke.  You’ll be covered.  Once your done with that – make yourself a cocktail.

A sweet one tonight – a rum cocktail with banana liqueur.

  • 1.5 ounces of banana liqueur
  • 0.75 ounce gold rum
  • 0.75 lemon juice

Mix everything in a shaker over ice, serve up in a martini glass.  If adventurous, garnish with a slice of banana and a lemon wedge.

Dave’s Thoughts:

  • First sip and it tastes like those hard candies in shape of little bananas… you know the ones.
  • VERY sweet, all banana and lemon – you can’t even tell there is rum in there.
  • Only for those with a sweet tooth.

Tasting Notes:

  • Dave’s Rating: 4/10
  • Strength: 5/10
  • Sweetness: 10/10
  •  This drink epitomizes liquid candy!
